June 10, Slovenia:- US President George Bush said he's optimistic that an agreement on Global Warming could be struck before his term ends. However, he believes that no agreement could be effective without the participation of Asian giants China and India, who too are responsible for greenhouse gas emissions.

The U.S. Senate's much anticipated tangle with a landmark bill that would have required the nation to make deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions responsible for global warming came to an unceremonious end Friday, as proponents failed to muster enough votes to formally consider the legislation.
Four days of deliberations on the climate bill were marked more by partisan bickering than substantive debate, but supporters of aggressive U.S. action to combat global warming contend the tide is turning in their favor.

I dont trust this Bush fellow... he is just mentioning India and China so he can skirt from doing much abt it.. we are still developing nation what US should be able to do is much more than what we can because we have a large illiterate and poor population.
I just read recently that they just increased taxes on solar energy and because of this many people are switching from solar power to normal non-eco friendly power sources.
I agree... instead of shunning from his duty and asking for other nations to do their bit, he should set an example by doing things that are in favour of the environment. But lets not discount the responsibility of India and China as well, who are also responsible for emissions.
Every nation has the responsibility to contribute towards our fight against Global Warming and instead of having a blame game lets be quick to act before it's too late...
