I watched a programme on a local Indian news channel India TV and they said that according to a NASA scientist, by 2012, all the ice in the Arctic belt will melt and major cities like Mumbai, New York, Kolkatta and all those which are perched near the seas will sink! Previously predicted to melt by 2040, now they're saying it'll melt in 2012!
It's high time nations like the USA and other developed nations woke up and curtailed emissions of harmful gases in the atmosphere. We too can make a difference. This problem, which was sidelined and ignored so far has taken a dangerous turn.
