A blog on the basics and the complexities of global warming and climate change.
Thursday, December 20, 2007
Global warming is an average increase in the Earth's temperature. Such an increase in the Earth's temperature causes changes in the climatic conditions. Scientists fear that if solutions are not drawn to curb Global Warming, it will pose a serious threat to the lives of those living on the planet. It will cause drastic rise in sea-levels and big cities which are near the sea will sink due to cyclones, tsunamis, earthquakes and other reasons due to Global Warming. Such a rise in sea-level would be due to the melting of ice in oceans and mountains. To save our planet and in turn our own lives, we will have to act... and fast!
